Random Japanese words in Fanfictions

A random baka here and there is fine with me, and the honorifics are totally cool. I've never seen anything more than that, but I don't really read a lot of fan fiction. Also I'm biased to Japanese, so there is that.

Only time I've used Japanese in my fanfic was to name a kid Handsome Devil in Japanese, only to have it be laughed at and the paper it was written on thrown away by the Main Character.

I suppose it's preference. I've never used Japanese in my stories. The language itself doesn't appeal to me. I joke around with honorifics on forums at times, but never in stories. German, on the other hand, I'll use some words like: nein, ja, untermensch, Übermensch, Führer—but random adjectives I usually refrain from using. It just feels awkward to read, breaking your native tongue like that for one word.
